Recessionista Coach Bag Giveaway

This has nothing to do with crafts and everything to do with guilty pleasures.

I would love to win this:

Wouldn't you?

Head on over to Recessionista to enter a comment for a chance to win this darling bag.

And you should take a look around their site. I have been drooling over the prices of the way cute stuff they have (not to mention showing the blog to my hubby as a not so subtle hint for Christmas). Enjoy!

Quiet Book Page

I did it! I finally finished my Noah's Ark page for my quiet book! I made seven of them. Some friends of mine are doing a swap. In a week or two we'll all get together and swap pages. I am excited to see what everyone's page looks like.

This is a great way to do a quiet book if it's intimidating to do (like it was for me). It wasn't so hard or scary. I looked at some ideas online to come up with my page. It's a combo of some of them plus a few of my own touches (the buttons and the stuffed clouds).

I learned a lot in the process, fell in love with my sewing machine, and most of all . . . I feel empowered to tackle projects that scared me before!

Finger puppets to come!

There are such things as Autumn Ornaments

I think this fall ornament is the cutest thing. I have just the place for it in my living room. As soon as I finish my all-consuming quiet book (I'm almost there!) I'm going to make some of these. I already bought some glass ornaments in different sizes. Can't wait!
